Donate to Help Make a Difference!

This month all donations will be sent to support the H’mong villages in Sapa, Vietnam. 

Located far away from surrounding communities, the H’mong people rely on tourism as a huge economic opportunity. They provide tours that lead guests through picturesque landscapes and terraced rice fields, and introduce visitors to their sophisticated farming techniques. They offer their homes to share their traditional way of life, home cooked meals, and traditions and customs told through storytelling and folk songs

Unfortunately tourism has declined since covid and it has been extremely difficult for these villages to continue to trieve. The women are no longer able to lead as many tours to earn a sustainable income to support their families or send their kids to school. Agricultural advancements are at a standstill without resources. Local girls are no longer able to sell their handmade bracelets or handwoven textiles to tourists passing by.

With every donation, we will personally send you a distinct and colorful bracelet made by the little girls in these remote villages, each featuring a unique and intricate design depending on the village where they are from. (Please leave me your address once you donate so that I can send it to you by mail). 

Your support and contribution would mean a great deal to help send the H’mong children to school, where they can learn English and one day lead tours of their own or find new opportunities in the city. It would allow guides like Sang to continue to share her different way of life with the world, so that we can all learn from one another and develop a deeper appreciation for the rich cultural diversity and traditions that exist in Vietnam.
